One of the biggest trends this Spring/Summer will be boho.
Influences are exotic, eclectic, gypsy inspired and rooted in spirituality. Colours will be earthy mustard, red, brown-casted reds, terracotta and periwinkle. Materials will be rich tapestries, burnout, sheer, velvet, suede, floaty cottons and laid back linens. Graphics are ornamental, mandala prints, ethnic inspired and design details will reign such as beads, fringing, sequins, embroidery, tassels and kimono sleeves, lots of wrap styling and patchwork.
Key items for your wardrobe will be peasant blouses with wider sleeves, flared pants, crop tops worn with fuller skirts, wrap skirts, maxi dresses will be embellished with front pockets, and
gathered sleeves. Off the shoulder tops
and dresses and kimono robes will be huge, jackets will be printed and throw over rather than tailored.
Accessories to complete the look will be bohemian in nature, necklaces, layered, crystals, leather, fringing, embossed leather totes and purses, embroidered purses, eclectically layered. the choker style we have seen so much of this winter is updated, leather with small stylised pendants. Rings are big bold and earthy, bracelets are stacked, the more the merrier, Indian inspired, or chunky statement pieces. Ankle wrapped platform sandals will complete the look. Belts are either rope or leather.
